Heimspace Hub

Welcome to my Heimspace Hub.

Heim, named after the German physicist Burkhard Heim, whose work on faster-than-light travel continues to fascinate me, as well as make its way into several of the science fiction pieces I pen.

Space for...well to quote Captain Kathryn Janeway...

"Space, literally it means 'nothing', a vacuum between stars and planets, but by the same token it means 'everything'"*

Or in the case of the internet, replace "stars and planets" with "blogs and youtube videos". This is my corner of the vaccum, this here is my everything.

And hub, as defined by the Princeton Wordnet is:

(noun) hub (a center of activity or interest or commerce or transportation; a focal point around which events revolve) "the playground is the hub of parental supervision"; "the airport is the economic hub of the area"

And this is my hub, my homepage. My window on the world, and it's line of sight onto me. Through it you can see many things. Stories I'm trying to tell (in the form of novels, plays, short stories and many others), thoughts I'm trying to process (my blog), opinions I'm trying to defend, work I'm trying to sell (one day, I hope, you'll see my name on a bookshelf) and hopefully through/reflected in all that, the God I'm trying to serve. After attempting to create such a window with various other platforms, some more sucessfully than others, here I am endevouring to set up a central point, around which everything else can revolve.

So if somewhere in that matter based morass known as the "real" world, you've come across something of me and liked it, hopefully here, you'll find more of the same. And if you've stumbled on this page from some other far flung recess of the digital cosmos, I hope you'll like what you see here enough to actually want to see more of it, in the real world!

*(If you havn't guessed by now, I'm something of a nerd/geek/boffin)
